　　Dear teacher and schoolmates,1t’s a great pleasure for me to be today and share my experience of learning English with you.I'm interested in English and hope to be an interpreter in the future.Naturally lt’s very important for me to learn English well .As everybody knows vocabular is an important part of language, just like bricksin a building .I usually memorize twenty new words a day and put them to use whenever possible . After class.I often listen to English programs on TV and on the radio .Besides ,I've learned a lot from the Internet and other sources.

　　Now.I'd like to make some suggestions on English teaching and learning in our school.Firstly ,we should be given more opportunities to use what we’ve learned ln order to have a better grasp of it.Secondly.I hope our teachers can recommend more interesting books and magazines and give us more free time to read them. Finally，1 suggest we have more Endish activities，such as English contests and festivals.

　　有一位長者走遍世界各地介紹中國申辦奧運會。那段特別艱難的經(jīng)歷已經(jīng)根植在他的內(nèi)心。聽到中國成功申辦第29屆奧運會的好消息后，他激動得忍不住流淚，說我從1993年開始就一直在等待那一天，最幸福的事情終于發(fā)生在中國。這個人就是何振梁先生，他把他的余生都獻(xiàn)給了中國奧運會。正是憑借他的精神、激情、勇氣和對中國強烈的愛國主義意識，我們正在向世界邁出下一步。

　　女士們先生們，現(xiàn)在我有一個問題要問在座的各位。你還記得那個難忘的場景嗎？是還是不是？請伸出你的手，讓我看看有多少？哇，好多人。難忘的時刻還清晰地縈繞在你的腦海里。

　　20xx年7月13日晚10點08分，前國際奧委會主席薩馬蘭奇先生在莫斯科宣布，第29屆奧運會的.主辦城市將是北京市。與此同時，在中國，激動的情緒通過奧林匹克會議室傳入北京、這座城市和整個國家。中國人，無論是在國外還是在國內(nèi)，都以各種方式慶祝這個成功的偉大時刻，比如互相擁抱，跳躍，叫喊，哭泣，喝酒，唱歌，跳舞，午夜在街上游行�，F(xiàn)代中國，一個5000年文明和歷史的產(chǎn)物，以她的拼搏精神和毅力，終于和奧運會握手言和，實現(xiàn)了期待已久的夢想。

　　現(xiàn)在許多中國人正在盡最大努力為即將到來的奧運會做他們能做的事情。他們學(xué)英語是為了和外國人交流。他們改掉壞習(xí)慣來保護環(huán)境。他們渴望成為奧運會志愿者。他們向世界人民介紹中國的偉大傳統(tǒng)、文化和文明。他們申請火炬手來傳遞信息。分享和平，分享奧運”。

　　在一年倒計時的時刻，我們中國人正在為這個大事件做準(zhǔn)備。北京奧組委正在履行申辦時做出的承諾。在綠色奧運、科技奧運和人文奧運的理念指導(dǎo)下；第29屆奧運會將加強交流，增進(jìn)合作，縮短中國與世界的距離。

　　我想再次強調(diào)一點“國家參與”。和我們一樣，作為一個普通公民，我們強烈意識到自己的責(zé)任:多植樹來覆蓋空間，少開車來緩解交通堵塞，充分利用能源來減少污染等等。所有這些行動不僅會改善我們的生活環(huán)境，而且會造福我們的下一代。

　　明年8月8日，北京將見證世界的輝煌。世界上最大的體育賽事，將為世界五分之一的人口帶來奧林匹克價值。這將是奧運會歷史上最激動人心的項目之一。北京是吸引游客的主要景點，它將伸出雙手向世界人民表示熱烈的歡迎，所有的客人都會對中國留下深刻的印象。美國最先進(jìn)的場館，舒適的城市環(huán)境，熱情的志愿者和壓倒性的公眾興趣。

　　Ladies and Gentlemen: My topic is Honesty.

　　As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.

　　65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.

　　In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth.

　　He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.

　　When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

　　Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character.
