推薦人的選擇和推薦信寫作應注意的問題分享
在聯系歐美大學研究生課程時，推薦信幾乎是每個大學都需要的一類文書。
筆者就工作中積累的豐富經驗結合中國申請人在寫推薦信時的一些常見的錯誤理念談一談推薦信寫作的要領。
其實最早的推薦制度來自于中國，漢朝的舉"孝廉"即是當時青年通往仕途的重要渠道。
同樣，歐美大學考察一個學生的情況是以綜合能力來衡量的。除了個人陳述-這一申請人站在本人的角度介紹自己文件外，通過推薦信從認識申請人的第三者立場了解申請人的特點是錄取過程當中非常重要的一個環節。
以誰的名義來寫推薦信？
這是在動筆寫推薦信之前首先要考慮的問題。是請名人或地位很高的人（如學部委員、大公司總經理、名校校長等），還是身邊了解自己的人（班主任老師、任課老師，甚至是同學同事？）
許多申請人錯誤的認為請名頭越大的人寫越好，這是一個誤區。
這個問題只能是根據每個人的具體背景來回答，并沒有普遍適用的答案，但不管是請什么級別的人來寫，一定要體現該推薦人和申請者是如何相識的，是什么關系，并確實了解申請者的情況，這樣才合乎情理和邏輯，這樣作才符合西方人的思維方式。例如一個本科生，在學術上很一般，請學部委員來寫你的學術能力就很牽強，
同樣ge公司的中國區總經理為一個普通職員寫推薦信，也很難讓人信服。但反之，如申請者確實學術背景很好，和學部委員有過交流和探討；或ge公司的部門經理，
那么請學部委員或ge公司的中國區總經理來寫就很合情合理，并能寫出深度。
由于申請人需要將自己的全方位信息展現出來 ，因此你也應當盡量避免請同一類型的人士給你寫推薦信。你需要錄取評審委員會對你有一個完整而全面的了解，不能只局限于在學校的學習成績或是工作上的表現。 因此根據你的自己的實際情況找到合適的推薦人組合是非常重要的。
推薦信的長度：
推薦信切忌寫得過長，一般來說500英文字以內比較適合，既能排在一張a4信紙，并上下留出寫抬頭和簽名的充足空間。
推薦信的寫作要領：
確定了推薦人后，在提筆寫作之前需要仔細斟酌推薦點。許多申請人受到一些"范文"的影響，感覺推薦信的模式性很強，大同小異，因此就從網上下栽一些模板，修改一下就ok了。
這樣做的結果是招生人員面對成千上萬中國學生的推薦信，發現都是一樣的：學習刻苦，善于鉆研，樂于助人，是所教過的最好的學生，不但重視書本知識的學習還積極，可以想象，這樣的推薦信等于沒寫一樣。因此推薦點應切實著眼于申請者自身獨有的一些閃光點，力爭做到表現出申請人獨到的優勢。同時推薦點切忌過多，傷其十指不如斷其一指，一封推薦信中有一個主要的閃光點并言之有物即可，這樣會給招生人員留下較為深刻的印象。
推薦信的內容寫得具體一些還是較為籠統，這也是許多申請人經常難以把握的問題。
一般來說，越是級別高的推薦人寫的推薦信越不能太具體，因為在歐美的觀念中，有很高社會地位的人往往是非常繁忙和社會交往非常豐富的，這樣的人能為申請者寫推薦信已經很說明問題了，如果寫得過于具體，連申請者的一些細節的活動都留下了深刻的印象，這樣的推薦信顯得太不正常，并不可信。
反之，較為接近申請人的推薦人寫的推薦信就可以寫得具體一些。
一封好的推薦信不僅需要出自一位在某一方面了解你的人士之手，而且這封信對你的評價必須要有具體的例子來佐證。許許多多的.推薦信都犯著一個雷同而且是致使的錯誤，那就是幾乎每一句話都堆滿了贊美的形容詞或名詞，但卻不舉一件事例來證明。這樣的推薦信是蒼白無力的，它不增加錄取委員會對你的任何了解，甚至會讓讀者產生疑問：你的教授，你的頂頭上司，為什么不能說出你任何一件具體的成就！
尊敬的先生或女士：
您好，我是xxx，xxx公司的總經理。得知我公司優秀員工xxx想要出國深造，我感到非常高興和無比欣慰。在我看來這樣一個上進的年輕人應該接受良好的教育擁有更輝煌的未來。因此，我很榮幸向貴校強烈推薦這位優秀青年。
xxx曾在大四的時候來我公司實習。盡管對業務不很熟悉，工作經驗相對匱乏。但是從不服輸的他一刻也不放棄學習的機會。利于閑暇時間大量閱讀參考有關業務的書籍，虛心向其他員工請教。漸漸地，他開始精通各項業務，并取得一定成績。對此他并沒有滿足更沒有驕傲自大。相反，遇到難題，他仍然虛心與同事交流討論直到找出解決方案為止。鑒于他在實習期的出色表現，我公司破例招收他為正式員工（通常我公司不予考慮小編）。
現在，做為我公司的一名業務精英，xxx工作更加認真，負責，努力。為所有同事樹立了榜樣。付出就有獲得，他因此被評為本公司優秀員工，并享有高額獎金。
雖然從某種程度上來說，如此優秀的員工即將踏上留學之途是我公司的損失，但是考慮到他的前途，我依然毫不猶豫的支持他遠赴貴校深造。真誠期望貴校能同樣支持他，給他一個提升自己實現夢想的機會。謝謝。
