HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Sometime ago, I was touched by a short quotation. A boy playing in his garden saw an aero plane glide over and thought: How lucky those people in the aero plane are! They can go to remote wonderlands! Meanwhile, a passenger in the aero plane looked down at the house, and thought: If only I could be home down there!
Yes! It is in a dilemma that you’re deeply missing your home on the journey, but you want to explore the world outside. My experience inspired me on this issue.
When I was small, my parents sent me to a boarding school. Away from my home and my friends, I felt so homesick that I cried all the time. I was isolated and lonely. At the end, I failed to continue studying there and went back home.
Time flew by; I was in secondary school and got popular among my classmates. Once, our school organized a two-week stay in the countryside. Again, I was away from home, without mum fussing around me, without yummy food, even without a hot shower. However, this time, I felt so happy. Every day was enjoyable, everybody was caring; everything made me feel at home. When the trip was over, my parents told me: “You’ve grown up!”
I’ve grown up!
I understand that missing home is not only missing our physical home, but looking for our identity, for our sense of belonging, and for our spiritual home.
I’ve grown up!
I know I’ll be far away from home and go after my dreams, but home away from home will always remain in my heart.
精神家園
不久前，我被一則短文打動(dòng)了。一個(gè)在后花園玩耍的小孩望著空中掠過的飛機(jī)，想：飛機(jī)上的乘客去了遙遠(yuǎn)的地方，多幸運(yùn)啊!這時(shí)，飛機(jī)上的乘客俯視著地上的民居，想：真愿那是我的家!
是啊!旅途中濃濃的鄉(xiāng)愁和去探索外面世界的沖動(dòng)真是兩相難全。我的經(jīng)歷恰好讓我感悟了這個(gè)矛盾的許多。
小時(shí)候，父母將我送到一家寄宿學(xué)校。離開了溫暖的家，離開了熟悉的朋友，戀家使我終日淚流不止，備感孤獨(dú)。終于，我無法在那兒繼續(xù)下去，只好回家。
光陰似箭，我讀初中了，并且與同學(xué)相處甚歡。后來，學(xué)校組織我們到農(nóng)村去生活兩周。再一次，我離開了家，沒有母親的嘮叨，沒有可口的飯菜，甚至連洗澡的熱水都沒有�？墒�，這一次，我卻快樂無比。每天都過得那么開心。大家互相團(tuán)結(jié)，一切都使我有家的感覺。活動(dòng)結(jié)束了。父母對(duì)我說：“你長(zhǎng)大了!”
我長(zhǎng)大了!
我還會(huì)為了理想而遠(yuǎn)離家。但精神家園永遠(yuǎn)留在我心中。

My Oscar Dream
On the night of March 1, the 76th Annual Academy Awards was shown on television. After watching it, I had a dream, a sudden wish, that some day, I could receive an Oscar award, or a nomination, for a movie I've made.
While I was schooling in Australia, my friends from school and I received a n assignment one day, "To make a ten to twenty minute movie on the topic of your choice." At the time, the trend was based around the popular Matrix movie trilogy, so that became our obvious choice.
Because our schedule was very tight, and it was a first time experience, we found it all very hard work, but when we released our production at school, it was worth it. After my friends and I showed the movie, we could not get from one end of the school to the other without getting congratulated about five or six times. We, especially I, were proud. We made a school-wide sensation.
From then on, I became obsessed with how to make movies and how filming is done. I just wanted to know about everyone and everything that has something to do with movies. I would watch a movie four to five times, just to find out how one camera angle, or special effect was produced. I found everything I watched quite amazing. I sometimes admired directors and producers of these films because the techniques they use are so smart. Their cleverness inspired me to make and act in movies.
When I become little bit older, I would like to attend a movie academy in Beijing or Shanghai, then America, or England, after some training and experience, I would like to make a movie, which will most likely be an action movie, which is my favorite kind of movie to watch.. If I am lucky, I hope I would get an Oscar Award for this movie. I think that would be quite a challenge, but it’s not impossible. For now, it’s back to watching movies over and over again for me!
我的奧斯卡夢(mèng)想
前幾天，中央電視臺(tái)播放了美國(guó)第76屆奧斯卡頒獎(jiǎng)典禮的盛況。我突然有了一個(gè)夢(mèng)想：長(zhǎng)大了以后，我也拍電影，我拍的電影也能獲得奧斯卡獎(jiǎng)。
我在澳大利亞學(xué)習(xí)的時(shí)候，英語老師給我和我的朋友布置了一個(gè)作業(yè)：拍一個(gè)十到二十分鐘的自選題電影。那時(shí)候，我們最喜歡的電影是《黑客帝國(guó)2》，于是就做了跟它差不多的一個(gè)小電影。我們準(zhǔn)備好攝像囂材、道具，然后拍攝、演出和編輯，一共用了兩個(gè)星期。
我和其他的三個(gè)同學(xué)通過讀書、上網(wǎng)和反復(fù)觀看《黑客帝國(guó)2》，弄明白了里面的人物角色和其他裝備后，就分配工作，開機(jī)拍攝。我在影片里不僅擔(dān)任編導(dǎo)，還扮演了一個(gè)反面人物——一個(gè)戴墨鏡的槍手“史密斯”。
因?yàn)闀r(shí)間緊，我們又是第一次拍電影，萬事開頭難，所以覺得比較辛苦。但是，那天放完電影以后，很多人都來祝賀我們，對(duì)我們說"干的好"，我們覺得那么辛苦是值得的。我們，特別是我，都很自豪.我們的電影在學(xué)校出名了。
從那時(shí)開始，我對(duì)拍電影特別感興趣，想了解跟電影有關(guān)的所有的細(xì)節(jié)。有的時(shí)候，為了弄明白一個(gè)特技或一個(gè)拍攝角度，一部電影我要看四到五次。我發(fā)現(xiàn)這些東西非常奇妙，也很佩服這些電影的導(dǎo)演，因?yàn)樗麄冇玫倪@些技術(shù)非常巧妙，給了我很多啟發(fā)。
我長(zhǎng)大以后，想去北京或上海，甚至去美國(guó)或英國(guó)的電影學(xué)院學(xué)習(xí)，等知識(shí)和經(jīng)驗(yàn)都豐富了以后，拍攝一部動(dòng)作電影，那是我的最愛。如果幸運(yùn)的話,我希望能夠獲得奧斯卡獎(jiǎng)。雖然對(duì)我來說這是個(gè)很大的挑戰(zhàn),但不是不可能的。現(xiàn)在我還是回去看電影吧!

What success means to me?
Once upon a time, an old rich woman left all her property to the person who could answer her question correctly. Her question was this “what is the most important thing for a person who wants to succeed?” To my surprise, the answer was not money, not power, not even opportunity, but “ambition”.
Why is ambition so important? A person without ambition is like a near-sighted lion. All the things in the distance appear blurred. No matter how strong it is, it can’t go far.
A lion lives to rule the whole plain. A person must prove that “I am a king here”, at least you are the king of yourself.
Nowadays, the world is very competitive. Even if you get to the top of your own field, there might be still someone better than you. So we have to ask ourselves: what is the proof of success? I believe it is doing something for this world.
Remember: As a successful person, in addition to ambition, the other key you must hold is love. When you look back at history, you’ll find you were standing on the shoulders of the giants. You have enjoyed what they had left you. So we should live to work for the improvement of the world. From president to citizen, we should all take part in building a new WWW for which I have my own explanation ----it is“of the world, by the world, for the world”. Only as a member of the global village, can you feel you are really successful.
我眼中的成功
曾經(jīng)有一位富婆，她將所有的財(cái)產(chǎn)留給了一個(gè)能答出她的問題的人。她是這樣問的：對(duì)于一個(gè)想取得成功的人來說，什么是最重要的?令我驚奇的是，答案不是金錢，不是權(quán)力，甚至也不是機(jī)遇，卻是野心。
為什么野心如此重要?一個(gè)沒有野心的人就猶如一頭目光短淺的獅子。遠(yuǎn)方的一切在它的眼里都是模糊不清的。無論它有多么強(qiáng)大，他都不可能步出狹隘，走向遠(yuǎn)方。
獅子為統(tǒng)治整個(gè)草原而生。一個(gè)人也應(yīng)該證明“我是某個(gè)領(lǐng)域的王者”。至少，你也應(yīng)該是你自己的主宰。
當(dāng)今世界，競(jìng)爭(zhēng)十分激烈。即便你達(dá)到了自己的極至，也許還有人會(huì)領(lǐng)先于你。這樣，我們不得不自問：究竟什么才能證明你的成功?我認(rèn)為，是為這個(gè)世界做些貢獻(xiàn)。
請(qǐng)謹(jǐn)記：作為一個(gè)成功的人，除了野心以外，你還必須胸懷對(duì)世界的愛心。當(dāng)你回顧歷史的時(shí)候，就會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)你一直站在巨人的肩膀上。你享用了他們留給我們的一切。由此看來，為世界的進(jìn)步而拼搏是我們的天職。從總統(tǒng)到民眾，我們每個(gè)人都應(yīng)當(dāng)參與到創(chuàng)建一個(gè)新的“WWW”的過程中來，對(duì)這個(gè)“WWW”我有自己的解釋——屬于世界，建立于世界，為了世界。只有作為地球村真正的一員，你才能體味到真正的成功。

My First English Teacher
Dear friends! Do you still remember your first English teacher? You may say:” Yes.” Everyone has his teachers, in my mind, I’ll never forget her ------my first English teacher Ms. Li. Without her, I wouldn’t be standing here. She is a young and lovely lady with beautiful eyes. Her voice sounds sweet and she speaks English very well. That was the first impression she left on us when she first gave us an English lesson.
In her class, she taught us carefully and patiently. She always made opportunities for us to speak English. She gave us many beautiful pictures to talk on them, played games with us and told us many interesting stories. Little by little, I had interest in English, but English was a new subject to me, I had many difficulties in learning it well. I often felt very confused. It was Ms. Li who helped me to find ways to overcome my difficulties. She helped me to practice speaking English everyday. She always encouraged me whenever I lost heart. She helped me to have confidence in myself. She gave me what I needed, courage, confidence, good ways to learn English and opportunities to speak English in class. So I was grateful for her. Maybe I can’t meet her again. The only thing I can give her is my best wishes. I wish my dear teacher happiness, good health and good luck. And I also want to say to her: Thank you, Ms. Li. I love you!
我的第一位英語老師

Sandstorm
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, Today I’m going to talk about sandstorm.
Sandstorm is a kind of bad weather witch is becoming increasingly common in Northwestern China, and it usually happens in spring and fall. Though I’m only 13, I have experienced it and suffered from it quite a lot.
I’m sure most people still remember the sandstorm that happened last month. It swept across the large area of 11 provinces and caused a great loss to our nation.
As you can see on TV, when a sandstorm comes, the wind blows strongly with dust and sand. Sometimes trees are even broken down in half, and little birds cannot find their homes. Sometimes clouds of dust blur the vision, and little kids cannot find their ways. It’s like the end of the world.
When a sandstorm occurs, our classroom is filled with dust and sand. My poor teachers! They’ve breathed in enough chalk-powder. Now, they have to take in much dust. My poor fellow classmates! They told me they were almost dying.
We love beautiful spring. We cherish bright sunshine. But sandstorms destroy all the lovely things. Yet we know it is Mother Nature’s revenge on what we have done to her. In order to see blue sky and sunny spring again, we should plant more trees and more grass to protect the environment. And it is not too late if we start right now.
Though it’s a hard job to fight against the sandstorm, it is the battle we must fight, and it is a battle we must win!

下午好!我的演講題目是沙塵暴。
沙塵暴是我國(guó)北方地區(qū)春季日益頻繁發(fā)生的一種惡劣天氣。雖然我才13歲，但也經(jīng)歷過多次了。
我想大家對(duì)上月發(fā)生的沙塵暴記憶猶新，它席卷了11個(gè)省，給我國(guó)造成了很大的損失。
正如您從電視上看到的，沙塵暴所到之處，狂風(fēng)卷著黃沙和塵土肆劣橫行，有時(shí)候一些大樹都被從中間吹倒了。鳥兒失去他們的家園，孩子們也找不到回家的路，就像到了世界末日。
當(dāng)沙塵暴發(fā)生時(shí)，我們的教室也充滿了沙塵�？蓱z的老師，盡管已飽受粉筆灰之苦，現(xiàn)在又不得不待在灰塵中�？蓱z的同學(xué)們，他們告訴我簡(jiǎn)直都要窒息了!
我們熱愛美麗的春天，我們珍愛明媚的陽光。但是沙塵暴給這些蒙上了陰影，我們知道，沙塵暴是大自然母親對(duì)我們破壞生態(tài)劣行的懲罰。要重新看到蔚藍(lán)的天空和明媚的春光，我們必須綠化山川，保護(hù)環(huán)境。如果我們現(xiàn)在就開始，還不晚。
雖然這是一項(xiàng)艱巨的任務(wù)，但是我們必須勇敢地面對(duì)，因?yàn)檫@是一場(chǎng)我們必須獲勝的戰(zhàn)斗!
