英語課堂教學提問的有效性和藝術性探究

      在課堂教學方面，《學記》主張啟發式教學。在這本總結了儒家教育理論和經驗的教育思想遺產中，有兩句精辟的話：即“道而弗牽，強而弗抑，開而弗達”，主張開導學生，但不要牽著學生走；對學生提出比較高的要求，但不要使學生灰心；指出解決問題的路徑，但不提供現成的答案。它精煉地概括了教師在教學上啟發引導的要求和方法。孔子也有類似論述“不憤不啟，不悱不發”，提出了啟發的動機和時機，注重施教上啟發誘導，給現實的英語教學留下了耐人尋味的思考。古希臘的哲學家蘇格拉底以雄辯和與青年智者的問答法著名，他提出的“助產術”是問答法中的第三步，引導學生自己進行思索，自己得出結論。雖然古人的教育或教學思想具有一定的時代局限性，但對于提問的本質思想依然影響至今。
        提問是課堂教學的催化劑，是課堂教學內容和形式的重要組成部分，更是實現教學目標和啟發學生思維的重要方式。問題的設置體現了每位老師的教學構思，因為問題是引導學生必要的手段，但是作為英語老師，我們在每一個不同的教學過程中如何設計有效的課堂提問是十分重要的。一個好的提問可以啟發學生的學習動機，激發學生的興趣，啟迪學生的智慧，喚起學生的情感共鳴，在讓學生關注教學過程和培養探究精神方面起著不可忽視的作用。對于老師而言，一個好的問題不光體現在問題本身設置的質量和角度是否會促進教學，更是對教學內容的提煉和升華，甚至說是駕馭；老師作為課堂教學的組織者、引導者的作用也在設問中得以體現，高質量的提問產生的效益當然首先是課堂教學的高效益，最重要的是教師與學生在教學內容和思想上的共鳴、互動和反思。
        在這次由區英語教研室組織的“星光大道”教學比武第一組比賽中，我重點關注了三位老師的課堂提問，并通過表格的形式對三位老師的提問進行了回顧和初步總結。
