Q: Please say something except your self-introduction.
A: You mean about my self-introduction?

Q: Criteria? What is criteria? What does that mean?

A: All right. First, I wanna know what I could learn from the job. That
means...
(He was communicating with other staff of Huawei about something, I
thought he might be busying in something so I stopped and waited for
him to finish.)
Q: Please go on. I'm listening.
A: OK, that means what my future would be if I took the job...
(He's still talking to other in Chinese, so I stopped again.)
Q: Please go on.
A: OK. The second is that I wanna know if it is something that I really
want, that means ... that means if I could totally devote myself in
the job... , the third is ... if I am qualified for the job...
(I stopped several times because he talked to two other guys and answered
a phonecall to his cell during the conversation.)
Q: I've noticed on your resume that you worked in ###(a company's name) for
only 4 months, why did you quit?
A: Well, I must say...(I was interrupted because he's talking to another guy
again.) I must say that I was too young and not so mutural at that time.
I think I was not well prepared to begin my professional career in my
heart...(He answered another phonecall)
Q: How old were you at that time?
A: 22.
Q: You're 22, and you said you're not matural?
A: I think sometimes maturaty is not related only to the age...

電話(huà)面試和一面的面試官一般是中國(guó)人，而中國(guó)人的英語(yǔ)一般都可以聽(tīng)懂。一般來(lái)說(shuō)即使是外企其中的外籍職員所占的比例也很低，畢竟外企來(lái)中國(guó)一方面是進(jìn)入這個(gè)市場(chǎng)，另一方面看中的也是中國(guó)的低人力成本，所以會(huì)盡量招聘中國(guó)本土人才。所以英語(yǔ)面試中除非到最終環(huán)節(jié)，前面一兩個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)的篩選部分都是中國(guó)人來(lái)進(jìn)行的。由于受到母語(yǔ)和思維習(xí)慣的影響，中國(guó)面試官的英語(yǔ)用詞習(xí)慣會(huì)偏向于中文習(xí)慣，身為中國(guó)人理解起來(lái)會(huì)比較簡(jiǎn)單，而且你說(shuō)的英文即使是Chinglish他也可以聽(tīng)懂。更重要的是絕大部分中國(guó)面試官的英文語(yǔ)速不快，對(duì)于不常使用英語(yǔ)的你來(lái)說(shuō)壓力也會(huì)較小。
英語(yǔ)電話(huà)面試或者一面的第一個(gè)英文問(wèn)題很有可能是“introduce yourself”或者“give a brief introduction of the work you are doing/you did" ， 所以在參加面試之前不妨寫(xiě)一下怎么介紹自己，怎么介紹自己簡(jiǎn)歷上寫(xiě)過(guò)的項(xiàng)目等，然后可以反復(fù)閱讀然后自己說(shuō)給自己聽(tīng)來(lái)做下事前準(zhǔn)備。
面試官更注重于你英文表達(dá)的'內(nèi)容勝過(guò)英語(yǔ)本身。除非你是應(yīng)聘專(zhuān)業(yè)翻譯，否者雇主對(duì)你的要求往往是可以使用英語(yǔ)的基本能力。也就是說(shuō)只要你具備用英語(yǔ)把你說(shuō)的事情說(shuō)清楚的能力就行了，其實(shí)這一點(diǎn)要求的是基本的英語(yǔ)思維能力。比如說(shuō)一個(gè)英語(yǔ)作為可以寫(xiě)的不錯(cuò)的人，只要打破不敢開(kāi)口的心理障礙那么在口語(yǔ)中也是能把事情說(shuō)清楚的。而某些只注重鍛煉一些基本交流口語(yǔ)的人，由于翻來(lái)覆去不涉及說(shuō)什么邏輯的事情，結(jié)果對(duì)于復(fù)雜一點(diǎn)的表述就往往無(wú)能為力。
聽(tīng)不懂不是什么大問(wèn)題，不懂裝懂才是問(wèn)題。當(dāng)聽(tīng)不懂面試官說(shuō)什么的時(shí)候可以大膽的說(shuō)“sorry, I didn't follow you, can you please repeat it”，這個(gè)不會(huì)降低面試官對(duì)你的印象，因?yàn)槊嬖嚨囊粋�(gè)很重要的部分是考察你的交流能力。而聽(tīng)不懂禮貌的讓人重復(fù)也是個(gè)不錯(cuò)的交流能力。而且現(xiàn)實(shí)工作中由于要和不同英語(yǔ)口音的人交流，聽(tīng)不懂是很正常的，這個(gè)時(shí)候不能卡殼，不能面面相覷，不能不懂裝懂，而是立刻禮貌的要求別人重復(fù)。這里強(qiáng)調(diào)的一點(diǎn)是一般工作中我們讓人重復(fù)不太會(huì)總是說(shuō)pardon，這個(gè)詞比較急促，聽(tīng)起來(lái)不是特別禮貌。
盡量把每一句說(shuō)的流利，但是句子和句子之間可以加停頓。比如用語(yǔ)氣詞uh，或者and, well等來(lái)表示你在斟酌怎么表達(dá)你要說(shuō)的內(nèi)容。比如“This part of improvement, uh... ..., I was one of the main contributors. And.... ... I've been driving it even further afterwards "。 這種停頓不但不會(huì)影響別人對(duì)你的英文的觀感，反而會(huì)讓人覺(jué)得你穩(wěn)重。
