Mike: We watch TV shows all the time. But how do people make TV shows?Let's watch the story about making an evening news programme.
News programmes are informative. And you can watch the evening news on TV every day. Many different people work to make a news programme. Let's watch how they do it.

It starts in the newsroom. The writers work here. They write the stories you're going to watch in the news in a few hours later. Here's the studio. At home, the viewers see this. But in the studio, it looks like this. There are lots of people in the studio: the camera person, the newscasters, and the weather person. Here's the control room. The director works here. The director tells people what to do.

Before you see the news programme, the weather person makes the maps. Then the director puts the weather maps on the blue wall during the show.

Joanna: Well, I like reality shows and soap operas.

Joanna: I only watch one soap opera. It's my favourite TV show. It's called "Magimatic Life". I think it's exciting and it's sad.

Mike: Okay. So how often do you watch your soap opera?

Mike: What about reality shows? How often do you watch them?
