Just as our University takes its name from Sir John Monash, so does our most prestigious package of scholarships. Sir John Monash was a distinguished Australian, who contributed to almost every level of society. We take inspiration from his philosophy, as captured in his famous words,...equip yourself for life, not solely for your own benefit but for the benefit of the whole community.The Sir John Monash Scholarship Program is a premier suite of scholarships designed to reward achievement. We unashamedly seek to attract the best students to our University, knowing that only by doing this can we continue to build upon our reputation as one of the region's leaders in education, research and graduate excellence.

Sir Monash was himself a gifted student, but was forced to end his own university studies shortly after they had begun due to financial hardship. He eventually returned to study and ultimately used his education to turn his natural talent into ability, and his ability into great achievement.
莫納什先生自己曾經(jīng)也是非常有天賦的學(xué)生，但由于遇到經(jīng)濟(jì)困難，開學(xué)沒多久就不得不結(jié)束自己的大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)。他最后重新返校學(xué)習(xí)，最終通過教育將自己的天賦轉(zhuǎn)化為才能，利用自己的才能取得卓越成就。
With this in mind, we have designed some scholarships in this package specifically for those whose financial and personal circumstances might otherwise restrict their participation in a world-class Monash education.
