　2月份，在前任經理突然被解聘后，切爾西俱樂部的俄羅斯老板羅曼•阿布拉莫維奇(Roman Abramovich)聘請了古斯•希丁克(Guus Hiddink)擔任臨時經理。已經擔任俄羅斯國家隊教練的希丁克同意照看切爾西，直至5月份本賽季結束。

　　This is what the best interim managers can do. They go in to a difficult situation, inheriting problems that have been created or left unsolved by previous managers. They bring a fresh perspective. They rejuvenate tired and stale employees. And then they clear off.

　　Is a burst of interim management what your business needs to energise the workforce? Perhaps you just have an urgent recruitment gap to fill. An interim manager could be a better bet than a full executive search, which might be costly, lengthy and not guaranteed to end in a permanent appointment. An interim might also be a better bet than bringing in the management consultants. A good interim manager will be part of the business, even during a short stay, in a way that a consultant never would be.
