hey,my group interview of Huawei
The moment always echoes in my mind as I was kicked out of the group interview at HuaWei Company. Campus recruitment. Up to now, I still in that disappointed atmosphere, How can I be refused? I mean, I passed the research professional interview with great advantages.. It was on march 7,I applied for a research career at HuaWei and get the invitation for a interview. now with nothing to do, I decide to write down that agony experience
Though I didn’t get the offer, and with a lot to complain I have to admit The company is really a great company. When the company comes to our student’s mind, what we think up is their 5500CNY monthly pay, yeah, it is tempting. But what impresses me is the high quality of the staff.4days of recruitment tour makes me a deep understanding of the company.
Ok, come to the topic. The group interview is the second step in the company’s famous 5 steps interviews. The whole recruitment process includes professional interview, group interview, compositive/aptitude test, call interview with foreigners and the boss interview.
The group interview contains 3 parts, the first part is guide step, and the 12 group members divide in half. each member make a self-introduce in the small team in ten 10 minutes, make sure your introduce is profound and take a note when somebody make a introduce. After the introduce, the interviewer will raise a lot of question on the introduce. Like the interviewer point to a member in your small team and ask you how are he/she? Describe the character tic of him or her, what he/she impress you. After all, a lot of artful question base on the self-introduce just made. What you need to do is keep your team member’s introduction in mind.
The second part of the group interview is either a debate or make a group plan on the given material. What we met is a debate in an hour; the topic is “is the test is the only way to choose talent”. We are positive side, Our six team players play the role of first debater.. .six debater and definitely assign each other’s task.. After about 10 minute’s preparation, we two small teams begin to argue. In my view, what’s the interviewers concern is the procedure of the debate not the result of the debate. So make sure not to make any logic mistake or emotion, speaks logically and quietly, this is not the true debate, it is just the interview. Always be calm and clear. Otherwise, you doom to be kicked out of the interview. What a terrible memory!, after the debate, the interviewer will ask you questions like who is best debater in your team, why, who did a badly job in the debate, or who should wash out and why. anyway, the interviewer just want to instigate a conflict in your team. So, do not to forget the teamwork... drat, the interviewer is hateful. After this section we take a rest. At this period the interviewer begin to decide who should go ahead.
The last part of the interview is for you ask interviewer question or he ask you, since the candidate nearly already determined or the interviewer is in hesitate to pick out a quantified one. He may ask you a key question to decide whether to choose you. So be careful.
Final, I make a conclusion of my failure, fist of all, I’m the only one who not dresses a suit, from the first sight, my image destroys. Second, I am not in state and seriousness, I thought the debate is just a game, so in the debate I just have some funny and play joking. I even made a logic mistake. It is ashamed. The last I underestimate the group members’ strength, it is ridiculous. They all from
Ok, in the end, I still think I a competitive candidate, my computer professional skills and my spoken English ability. What a loss HuaWei not choose me!
