That night I wrote a short sad poem about broken dreams and mailed it to the Capri’s Weekly newspaper. To my astonishment, they published it and sent me two dollars. I was a published and paid writer. I showed my teacher and fellow students. They laughed. “Just plain dumb luck,” the teacher said. I tasted success. I’d sold the first thing I’d ever written. That was more than any of them had done and if it was just dumb luck, that was fine with me.

During the nexxt two years I sold dozens of poems, letters, jokes and recipes. By the time I graduated from high school, with a C minus average, I had scrapbooks filled with my published work. I never mentioned my writing to my teachers, friends or my family again. They were dream killers and if people must choose between their friends and their dreams, they must always choose their dreams.

I had four children at the time, and the oldest was only four. While the children napped, I typed on my ancient typewriter. I wrote what I felt. It took nine months, just like a baby. I chose a publisher at random and put the manuscript in an empty Pampers diapers package, the only boxx I could find. I’d never heard of manuscript boxxes. The letter I enclosed read, “I wrote this book myself, I hope you like it. I also do the illustrations. Chapter sixx and twelve are my favourites. Thank you.” I tied a string around the diaper boxx and mailed it without a self addressed stamped envelope and without making a copy of the manuscript.

A month later I received a contract, an advance on royalties, and a request to start working on another book. Crying Wind, the title of my book, became a best seller, was translated into fifteen languages and Braille and sold worldwide. I appeared on TV talk shows during the day and changed diapers at night. I traveled from New York to California and Canada on promotional tours. My first book also became required reading in native American schools in Canada.

ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.

first i want to ask you some questions:

1、do you know what is youth?

2、how do you master your youth? youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals. years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self

We care about ourselves more and more. We eat whats right and we exxercise. We absolutely embrace health. However, it is not only our health that we should embrace, though many of us do not realize that. Many of us do not realize that the earth we live on is a fragile being that needs to be protected like a new born child.

We probably havent even noticed, that with each stride the civilization takes toward the ultimate development, more burdens are added to the earth that provides us with essentials to live. The decrease in air quality, the climate change, medical waste, noise and water pollution, and even food poisoning has added to the list of growing concerns to our living environment. Human are not supernatural beings, thus these problems have affected pretty much every matter. We upgrade gadgets and make full use of newer technologies, but we pay for the consequences in turn. For instance, the advent of batteries and machinery has caused million tons of water become toxxic and undrinkable, further aggravating the already serious condition of water shortage and poisoning in several countries. The over-production and over-use of transportation vehicles and electricity has contributed to the Global Warming and caused myriads of species to disappear from the face of the earth due to home-loss and temperature change. We have brought wonders to the world, but have also destroyed miracles of nature. We are concerned about our nutritional intake and exxercise all the time, so why shouldnt we care about the conditions of our living planet as well?

Time is ticking on. We shouldnt put off the whole "save the environment" affair any longer. Please, do what feels right in our hearts, even though it is only a tiny matter. Save up resources, promote the recycling and reusing of products, and always remember to take some time off going into the woods and breathe in the sweetness in the air. We have come from the woods, thus we would all have a secret desire in our hearts to harmonize with nature again. Remember, every little thing matters.

Friends, do you know what is meant by life? And what is meant by the "struggle of the youth"?

We know, there are many examples about the struggle of the youth appearing in the films we see, in the songs we listen, and in the friends we meet.

It is most startling to hear a watch or clock clicking away the seconds, each click indicating the shortening of ones life by a little bit.

Likewise, with each page torn off the wall calendar, ones life is shortened by another day.

          Time, therefore, is life.

Nevertheless, few people treasure their times as much as their life.

Time must not be wasted if you want to do your bit in your remaining years or acquire some useful knowledge to improve yourself, so that your life may turn out to be significant and fruitful.

So, chose to work hard in your youth.

Friends, speak up your mind, and do what you want to do!

In short, hurry up to give full play to the life bestowed on you by Nature, and hold aloft a torch to offer a little light to the world, for, otherwise, your young limbs will begin to rot, your brilliant brain will be dulled and your enthusiasm will cool off. It will be too late to mend.

Friends, bring your youthful vitality and life into full play right now and here!

The struggle of the youth is the most beautiful

It will be too late to mend

Friends, bring your youthful vitality and life into full play right now and here!

As you slowly open your eyes, look around, notice where the light comes into your room, listen carefully, see if there are any new sounds you can recognize; feel with your body and spirit, see if you can sense the freshness in the air.

Yes, yes, yes, it’s a new day, it’s a different day, and it’s a bright day! And most importantly, it is a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new decisions, take new actions, make new friends and take your life to a totally unprecedented level.

In your mind’s eye, you can see clearly the things you want to have, the places you intend to go, the relationships you desire to develop, and the positions you aspire to reach. You can hear your laughers of joy and happiness on the day when everything happens as you dream! You can see the smiles on the people around you when the magic moment strikes. You can feel your face is getting red, your heart is beating fast, and your blood is rushing all over your body, to every single corner of your being!

You know all this is real as long as you are confident, passionate, and committed. And you are confident, you are passionate, you are committed! You will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways, approaching new people, and asking new questions. You will live every singl......

Saying goodbye to childhood, we step into another important time in the pace of young, facing new situations, dealing with different problems.....

everyone has his own understanding of young, it is a period of time of beauty and wonders, only after you have experienced the sour ,sweet ,bitter and salty can you really become a person of significance.thre time of young is limitted,it may pay without your attention, and when you discover what has happened ,it is always too late. Grasping the young well means a better time is waiting for you in the near future, or the situation may be opposite.

Having a view on these great men in the history of hunmanbeing, they all made full use of their youth time, to do things that are useful to society, to the whole mankind, and as a consequence, they are remembered by later

Generations, admired by everyone. So do something in the time of young, although you may not get achievements as these greaten did, though not for the whole word, just for youeself, for those around!

Tthe young is just like blooming flowers, they are so beautiful when blooming, they make people feel happy, but with time passing by, after they withers ,mote people think they are ugly. And so it is the same with young, we are enthusiastic when we are young, then we may lose our passion when getting older and older. So we must treasure it, don’t let the limited time pay, leaving nothing of significance.

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. It’s great to be here. First of all, thanks for your coming. Tonight, what I am gonna talk about is innovation. Who can tell me what is innovation? We all know that, since 1978, China has been through the greatest changes brought by the reform and opening-up. So what we can see from the reform and opening-up? The power of innovation. That’s why I am here. I am here to show you my Chinese dream. I want to talk about the future and how were going to win it. If we want to make innovation. But firstly, we should make sure that China is a place where we can make it if we try, where we can go as far as hard work and big dreams will take us. We understand that it’s not going to be a cakewalk, this competition for the future, which means all of us are going to have to do our best. We are going to have to win the future by being smarter and working harder and working together. Innovation is the spirit of our country, the motive force for our country’s prosperity.

Sparking the imagination and creativity of our people, unleashing new discoveries -- thats what China will do better than any other country on Earth. From the moment we have a new idea, we can eplore it; we can develop it with a research grant; we can protect it with a patent; we can market it with a loan to start a new business. We’ve got a chain that takes a great idea all the way through. We must be confirmed that, today, the challenges we face are real.

They are serious they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But we will somehow find a way to overcome the difficulties. My major is . My job is to discover or create new drugs for many diseases like cancer. You know that laboratory is the place where miracles happen. Believe it or not. What I do can save millions of people’s lives. For a long time, what challenges me is how to commercialize research. You come up with a great idea, but moving that new discovery from theory to practice or from the lab to the marketplace, thats re ally a big job. That’s what we should focus on.

We need to act with a sense of urgency-to study and work and create as if the fate of the country depends on us-because it does. It depends on us.

          Thank you!

          dear all,

experience makes you succeedi still remembered the first time when i became a technical secondary school teacher of english literature. it seemed that it happened yesterday.

at that day, i got quite ready and i had the confidence to be a good teacher. i arrived at the classroom, eager to share my knowledge and experience with all the students of my class. having prepared for two days, i had no doubt to hold their attention and to impress on them my admiration for the literature.

“stand up!” the monitor spoke loudly. the entire class stood up as i entered the classroom. i was a little puzzled, but quickly that awkwardness was over, i regained my calmness and began my well-prepared lecture, sure to gain their respect--- or even their admiration. ‘i’m your english, miss jiang. today we are going to learn . . . ’ i was very pleased with work . as the bell rang, i went back to my office full of a sense of achievement. the following day when i read my students’ diaries, the rosy glow was gradually replaced by a strong sense of sadness. the first diary said, “our literature teacher didn’t teach us anything today. perhaps her next lecture would be better.” greatly surprised, i read diary after diary, each expressed a similar theme. “didn’t i teach them anything? i described the entire framework and laid the background for the passage we would study in class,” i puzzled. “how should they say i taught them nothing?”

it was a long term, and it gradually became clear that my ideas about education weren’t the same as those of my students. i thought a teacher’s job was to raise interesting questions and provide enough background so that students could draw their own conclusions. my students thought a teacher’s job was to provide exact information as directly and clearly as possible. what a difference! i tell myself i can handle it.’ compared to what others have been through , i’m fortunate. thinking of these sentences i felt something important struck me. i believe my life would not be that bad and it was proved to be true. later during my life and work i always told myself ‘i can handle it.’ when my own goals seemed far off or when my problems seemed too overwhelming. and every time i said it, i always came back to my senses.

now the experience with my students has made me learn a lot, and made me be a better english teacher.

the following year, it was september 10th. i went to class as well. when i stepped into the class, i felt surprised. there was a post card on the table, but i didn’t show it on my face. i began teaching lessons. after the class, i walked out of the class with a card in my hand. i opened the card in the office, it was a music card with words on it. it said ‘many thanks to you, miss jiang. we all love you we like your teaching.’ i was impressed by the words. how honest and simple the words were. hot tears couldn’t help dropping. at that time, i was so proud of being an english teacher.

so here, coming to us are words that can give us strength. whatever you’re going through, tell yourself you can handle it. tell this to yourself over and over, and it will help you get through the rough spots with little more fortitude.

belief in yourself is the secret of success

from the moment we are born, our destiny had been set. it is the start of our life. as a little child, we go to school and are curious to everything in the world.

when we get older, we tend to understand the function in this world.

we start to think, sometimes wonder about life. next thing we know, we are growing up. the world is changing, and our life is changing everyday.

right now, this particular moment in our life, we think again.

we have we done in our life?

          are we successful?

          are we rich?

are we happy? and flashbacks starts, the memories took charge of our brain.

we reflect to ourselves, we question ourselves.

          why are we not successful?

          why are we not rich?

          why are we not happy?

then, we need to ask how.

          how to be successful?

          how to be rich?

          how to be happy?

with the questions, we figure out the answers. one of the dominating techqniue to be successful is first start from yourself. believe in yourself. if you dont believe in what you can do, then who else?

if you dont care about yourself, then who else? trust your feelings, believe that you can do it. and as long as you hold that thought, nothing, nothing can stop you.

the successful future right ahead of you are led by a pathway called belief.
