beyond英語演講稿 1
Good morning everyone:
I am very happy to be here to give you a speech, and now let’s begin my topic. Do all of you like rock music?and which band or singer do you like best? The beatles, Bon Jovi, eagles, metallica, green day,u2,suede,or some Chinese bands and singers, such as black leopard band, tong dynasty band, compass band, beyond, cui jian, wangfeng, xuwei, and so on.
I love beyond best, justbecause of their songs.Have you ever heard the name of beyond?May be yes,may be not.but when their music sounds, you will surprise to find that’’wow!that’s their song,I always hear it from the KTV,the street shop,or my own computer’’.Yes,it’s their song, glorious years(光輝歲月),one of the best songs of them.Do you know the theme of this song? It’s a song to praise the black leader of mandela(曼德拉),who sacrificed his whole life to eliminate racialdiscrimination and was awarded nobel peace prize in 1993.They aslo have another song named amani, which theme is close to gloriousyears. It is said that amani is a word roots insouceAfrica means peace,it’s a song appealling people from all of the world to give a hand to the children of souceAfrica who just can’t fill their stomach.
relly love you(真的愛你)is another famous song of beyond. You may think it is a song about lovers, but it is not. It’a a song that jiaju create as a gift for his mother before the coming of mother’s day. It may teach us that if you really love songs, youcan not just love the beautifullmelody of them, but the meaning of them.
Boundless Oceans Vast Skies(海闊天空)is my favorite song of beyond. It’s a song with touchingmelody and profound meanings. It is about dreams.Just like the song says”everyone can give up their dreams, besides you and me,though fearing of fall one day.”But the accident really happened when jiaju was visit a japan entertainmentprogramme in june 30th,1993,hefalled off from the platform and never wake up again.thereforjune has becoming a month to commemoratejiaju for our fans of beyond.
Beyond has many famous songs, andI can’t shar them with you detailed.Their songs are always about social issues, pursuit of dreams, politicsand peace. And beyond not only contribute more to rock music but also influenced a generation of people, leading an era!Just like the words said”there is no rock music in hongkong, onlybeyond.”I wish all of you to appreciatebeyond’s songs with your heart in your spare time.and I believe you will love them either.Afterall, there is no band in china like beyond to have such a strong vitality. That’sall, thank you time!

Good afternoon everyone. today I will introduce a famous band to you, I think you kown the band-beyond.
Beyond is a famous rock band in Hong Kong that was founded in 1983. They have always identified with the people of Hong Kong, as reflected in their songs about social issues, pursuit of dreams, politics, and peace. Wong Ka Kuis " 海闊天空 (Boundless Oceans Vast Skies) & 光輝歲月(Glorious Years) are two of their best known works
Beyond stands out in the Chinese music industry due to the fact that they are one of the very few groups who compose and write their own music. With the exception of a single song, a tribute to their hero Sam Hui, Beyond has never recorded a cover in the studio.
Beyond were initially part of the "band boom" which occurred in Hong Kong in the 1980s, alongside other groups. After couple of flops, Beyond started to gain popular following the release of the song Dai Dei(Great land). Fellow underground musicians started to accuse Beyond of abandoning the rock and roll genre of music, gravitating towards pop. Beyond was unfazed and the few next albums saw several of the most important songs in the history of Hong Kong music.
. One of the songs, Glorious Age (Chinese: 光輝歲月), is about racism and the struggle of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. The song, at the time, was a fresh breath of air in the midst of sweet love songs that were dominating the Hong Kong music scene. Most of his songs are about dreams、freedom、and constant struggle.
In June 1993, Wong Ka Kui sustained massive head injuries after falling from a broken stage on a Fuji Television game show in Japan. Wong Ka Kui fell into a coma and died one week later. The Japanese will never understand, for us and for Hong Kong, that the incident was not merely about the loss of an artist. It was about losing a music revolutionary, and an age of time.
When we talk about Beyond,we feel the spirit of constant pursue、constant progress and supass ourself. most of the time, we all forget how to struggle ,when we failed after some efforts,we are very frustrated. but the spirit of beyond is not afraid of failure, insist on progress and pursue our dreams.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, I stand before you to talk about a band that has had a profound impact on my life and the lives of millions of people around the world. That band is Beyond.
Beyond was a Hong Kong-based rock band that formed in 1983. They are considered one of the most influential bands in Chinese rock history, with their music transcending language barriers and cultural differences. The band consisted of four members: Wong Ka Kui, Paul Wong, Steve Wong, and Jay Koo. However, it is with great sadness that we remember them as a trio after the untimely death of Ka Kui in 1993.
The music of Beyond is deeply rooted in social consciousness and personal reflection. Their lyrics often touched on themes of love, peace, and social justice, making their songs not just entertainment, but a call to action for their listeners. Their song "Amani," for example, was written in response to the Rwandan genocide and called for an end to war and violence.
Beyonds music has been a constant companion in my life, providing me with comfort, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. Their songs have accompanied me through the highs and lows of life, reminding me that no matter what challenges I face, I am not alone.
In conclusion, Beyond is more than just a band; they are a movement, a legacy, and a symbol of hope. Their music has bridged cultures and generations, uniting people from all walks of life under the common banner of love and peace. As we continue to listen to their songs and carry forward their message, let us remember the power of music to bring people together and inspire change.
Thank you.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, I stand before you to talk about a band that has had a profound impact on my life and the lives of millions of people around the world. That band is Beyond.
Beyond was a Hong Kong-based rock band that formed in 1983. They are considered one of the most influential bands in Chinese rock history. The band consisted of four members: Wong Ka Kui, Paul Wong, Steve Wong, and Jay Koo. However, it is Ka Kui, the lead vocalist and guitarist, who is the heart and soul of the band.
The music of Beyond transcends language barriers and cultural differences. Their lyrics, which often touch on themes of love, peace, and social issues, resonate with people from all walks of life. Their songs have been covered by countless artists and have become anthems for generations of fans.
One of the most striking things about Beyond is their dedication to their craft. They were not just a band; they were a movement. They used their music to inspire change and to raise awareness about important issues. They were not afraid to speak out against injustice and to challenge the status quo.
In 1993, tragedy struck when Ka Kui passed away after a fall during a television show rehearsal. This was a devastating loss for the band and their fans. However, his legacy lives on through the music of Beyond and the impact they have had on the world.
Beyonds music has been a constant source of inspiration for me. Their songs have gotten me through tough times and have lifted my spirits when I needed it the most. Their message of hope, perseverance, and love has shaped the way I see the world and the way I interact with others.
In conclusion, Beyond is more than just a band; they are a symbol of resilience, hope, and love. Their music has crossed borders and united people from all over the world. They have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire future generations. Thank you.

To some, Beyond are the greatest Chinese rock band ever. To others, they are inglorious, latter-day sellouts. Indisputable, however, is Beyonds surprising longevity in Hong Kongs fickle music scene. In May the band celebrated their 20th anniversary with five capacity concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum, and theyve added three more shows at the same venue for this weekend. There is good reason for the hype: the concert series represents the first time the band has performed together since they took a solo-career sabbatical in 1999.
For fans, the shows have been especially poignant. Late vocalist Wong Ka-kui?killed in an accident in 1993 at the age of 31?has been resurrected in the form of a life-size video projection, alongside his former band mates. This eerie guest appearance takes place during the performance of Wongs Fighting War for 20 Years. "Ka-kui played the music on an acoustic guitar and hummed along. We added our instruments and sang the lyrics," says bassist Ka-keung, Wongs 38-year-old brother. "This then became a song that our full band performed. So we got the idea that we wanted to bring him onstage with us as well."
Its hard to overstate the importance of Beyond to Hong Kong music fans under 40. In a scene long dominated by insubstantial teen idols, Beyond have been the Beatles, the Clash and Oasis rolled into one. To this day they remain the only Hong Kong band to have made the transition from underground obscurity to mainstream stardom. From their first single?1987s Songs of Yesterday?theyve achieved this by espousing an openhearted, socially aware brand of rock that compensates for its occasional ham-fistedness with endearing sincerity. Through 27 albums, their songs of protest and peace have touched on everything from human rights to Chinas social contradictions to the aspirations of ordinary Hong Kongers. One of their most famous songs, 1990s Days of Glory, is about Nelson Mandela: "Today theres only a battered body left to welcome the days of glory/ Holding on tight to freedom." For many of Hong Kongs apolitical youth, it was the first time they had heard of the South African leader.
Today, sitting in their landmark Kowloon studio?where the walls are covered with two decades of messages from fans?the boys from Beyond are in an affable and unapologetic mood. "Its a technique to be able to strike a balance between rock and commercial music," says Paul Wong, the bands 39-year-old guitarist. "Once you decide to produce albums, undergrounders call you rock traitors, but the public doesnt even know who you are yet. Every day youre struggling between commercialization and your dream, which we had to remember very clearly. [That dream] was to change the music industry and the situation [in Hong Kong]."
The record companies didnt make things easy, either. "Its like they kept pouring buckets of cold water over our heads," says Yip Sai-wing, 39, Beyonds drummer. "We wrote a lot of songs for them, but theyd always say the songs wouldnt work. Some wouldnt even listen to our songs. Theyd just take a look at us and reject us on the spot. We had to make a lot of compromises to meet their requests. We attracted a wide public [later] ... then we were able to slowly turn back to doing what we wanted."
After this weekends concerts, Beyond will embark on a world tour, playing to mainly Chinese audiences in Asia, Australia, Canada and the U.S. "When we feel as if weve performed to all our fans around the world, as a thank you to them, then the tour will end," says Ka-keung. But it looks as though there might be more of Beyond on the way. A new generation of devotees is emerging, with many longtime fans now bringing their children to the shows. "Our dream now is to capture the third generation?our fans grandchildren," laughs Yip. "Then we can be the Hong Kong Rolling Stones." For now, it seems, nothing can stop Beyond?not even death.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today, I stand before you to talk about something that has been a part of our lives for as long as we can remember. It is not a tangible object, nor is it a concept that can be easily defined. It is "beyond".
"Beyond" is a word that represents the unknown, the unreachable, and the undiscovered. It is a word that ignites our curiosity and fuels our passion for exploration and discovery. It is a word that challenges us to step out of our comfort zone, to venture into the unknown, and to embrace the new and the different.
Throughout history, "beyond" has been the driving force behind some of the most significant achievements in human civilization. The exploration of space, the discovery of new lands, the invention of new technologies - all of these were made possible by our insatiable desire to go beyond the boundaries of what is known and familiar.
In our personal lives, "beyond" is the voice inside us that tells us to keep trying, to never give up, and to continue pursuing our dreams. It is the voice that reminds us that there is always more to learn, more to experience, and more to achieve.
But "beyond" is not just about reaching new heights or achieving great things. It is also about understanding and appreciating the world around us. It is about looking beyond the surface of things, seeing the bigger picture, and developing a deeper connection with the people and the environment that surround us.
In conclusion, "beyond" is a word that embodies the essence of human spirit - the desire to explore, to discover, and to grow. It is a word that challenges us to push the boundaries of what is possible, to strive for excellence, and to never settle for less than our best.
So, let us embrace the power of "beyond" and use it to inspire us to reach new heights, to achieve greatness, and to make a positive impact on the world around us. Let us be the pioneers of the future, the explorers of the unknown, and the creators of the new.
Thank you.
