          One last great tip about the actual interview: Always end the interview with, "I am very interested in the position. What are the next steps to take?" Boy, are you eager? They'd be lucky to have you!

          Have questions of your own. Toward the end of interview. the interviewer is going to lean into you and say," Do you have any questions for me? You must have questions. First, don't rush into your answer. Look as if you are thinking about whether you have any questions and then ask an appropriate one from the list you've thought about beforehand. Here is a handful of potential questions:

          How would you describe a typical workday?/What is the best part of working at this company for you? /Are there significant opportunities to take seminars, classes to learn more about the different facets of the company?/Why did you join the company?

          Interviewers love to talk about themselves, so these questions will win them over every time.

          Have answers ready for these popular interview questions:

          Tell me a little about yourself./What interests you most about this position?/Where so you see yourself in 5,10,20 years?/What is your ultimate career goal?/tell me about a project that had a tough problem that you solved./What are your greatest strengths?/What did you like about your last job?/What separates you from other candidates?/How do your previous experience/academic preparation and college activities relate to this work?

          Most importantly, sell yourself as a problem solver. Think about the work you have done, the job you had in college, volunteer work you did, or the club that you founded. Then proceed to illustrate how you solved a particular problem by breaking that experience into three parts:1)The problem you encountered,2)How you analyzed it, and 3)The solution you implemented.

          The best thin you can do for your interviewers is to make his/her job easier. If interviewers walk out after talking to you feeling like they carried the weight of the conversation, which is a strike against you. But if your exchange leaves them with a feeling of,"Hey, I enjoyed that," that could move you that much closer to hearing that you got the job.

          First is the trap question, which comes up in almost every interview. The trap question is some variaton on" What is the area you need most improvement in? "or" What is your area of weakness?" The real answer may be that you have are lousy to attention detail or that you are incredibly shy. Whatever you do, don't share your personal weaknesses. Instead, try to find something to say that isn't a real weakness,but a slightly less-than-ideal characteristic. For example: "I prefer to see a project through from start to finish rather than working on a single component and never seeing the finished product. I sometimes find it a bit frustrating to work without that overall context."" Sometimes I have a hard time saying no to people, and I end up taking on more than my share of work." If you really can't think of anything to say, you can always go with this time-tesed (albeit cliched) comeback: "I'm a perfectionist. I need to improve on not being so hard on myself and making sure I get everything right. "

          Be on the lookout for questions about why you left your old company and why you are interested in the new one. These questions(or their offspring) are designed to make sure your interest in the new company is sincere and not due to you being fired and/or having the interviewer throws at you:"Why were you fired?"keep the answer simple and brief."It was a hostile environment in which many people were let go,"is a good way to handle it.

          5態度要不卑不亢,不要一聽對方認為你干不了,你就乞求對方。因為用人單位不會因可憐誰就錄用誰的。

          二、你為什么有興趣到這里找工作?

          用人單位對某些學歷、資歷比較高的求職者常提類似的問題,其意圖是:1怕這人將來"跳槽",工作不安心,把新工作當成一塊跳板。2進一步考驗這種人,看他們有沒有決心到這里來踏實工作。3多用反問句、設問句的口氣提出,考察應聘者的態度變化。答問策略:

          1應聘人聽到這類提問應該推斷出自己的條件還不錯,用人單位可能出于擔心自己不安心所致。所以要態度誠懇地指出有興趣來此的原因:

          (a)專業對口;

          (b)公司有發展;

          (c)工作環境優越;

          (d)聽朋友介紹這家公司的老板是"伯樂";

          (e)有更多到外國工作的機會;

          (f)經常出差適合自己的興趣;

          (g)離家近;

          (h)福利待遇特別好,等等。(只需點出即可,不必大加渲染)

          2以比較堅決的口氣表白自己如何喜歡這個部門并愿為它效勞。

          3別忙中出錯或言多語失。比如對方是一個臺灣人開的公司,你卻說:"我很希望為泰國的公司工作,泰國是一個美麗的發展中國家。"這會讓對方啼笑皆非的。

          面試難題的應答策略 (下)

          三、你自認為有什么優缺點?

          主試人想通過這一類問題的解答了解到:

          1、這個人能否對自己做出正確的估價。因為不能估計自己的人,往往也不會正確地評價自己的工作;

          2、主試人最關注的是該人的缺點、弱點,如這方面的問題比較突出,那就不適合做某項工作。

          答問策略:

          1、參加面試前,應對個人的優點缺點有所認識,必要時聽聽家人或朋友的評價。千萬不要一聽對方問這類問題就不知如何是好了。

          2、最忌諱的是無所謂的態度,比如:"我也沒什么優點,也談不上什么缺點,我這個人嘛,一般就是了!""誰還沒個缺點?我有是有,可是一下子也講不清楚,管它呢?quot;--這種回答,容易給人以玩世不恭的感覺,很難委以重要的職位。

          3、自己的優點、長處,缺點、短處都應老老實實地講,態度越是誠懇、真摯,對方越對你有好感,不一定會減少聘用的機會。

          4、會講話的人大都善于運用個人的優缺點把這篇大文章作好。下面,我們列出幾條,你看自己有沒有,又怎么利用它巧妙地介紹自己:

          對應聘有利的優點:

          --好學習、肯鉆研。

          --腦子好使,記憶力強。

          --辦事認真,一絲不茍。

          --有干勁,不惜力。

          --好相處,跟誰都合得來。

          --有比較豐富的閱歷。

          --喜歡接受挑戰性的課題。

          --不交女友(男友)不成家。

          對應聘有利的缺點:

          --有名利思想:

          (a)別人說我是個人主義、名利思想。

          (b)別人認為我好出風頭,追求名利地位。

          (c)沒名沒利的事,我不大樂意干。(名利思想的另一面,是有所作為,不甘寂寞。只要認真對待,克服短處,可以從事開拓創新的工作。)

          --急脾氣

          (a)工作要是干不好,我打心里起急,非得干好不成。

          (b)誰要干活投機取巧,我老跟人家發脾氣。

          (c)遇到磨洋工的人,我就跟他急!

          --有時主觀:

          (a)別人要說服我,可不容易了,你擺不出事實、證據來,我還是堅持個人的主見。

          (b)我不會讓人牽鼻子走,確實很主觀。

          (c)我有時會跟同事爭,因為他們說服不了我,說我太主觀了。

          --不拘小節:

          (a)我這個人,大事頭腦清醒,可小事又不拘小節。

          (b)我經常忽略一些小事,這是不細心的表現。

          (c)您可別讓我處理瑣碎的事,我這人太不細心。(該人或許從事開拓性的工作較為合適。)

          --摳門兒、吝嗇:

          (a)時代變了,我還是一分錢掰兩半地花,招人討厭。

          (b)別人跟我吵,很多時候是嫌我管錢太死,說我"摳門兒到家"了。我就是老改不了!(該人適合管理財務工作)。

          (c)單位里的年輕人給我起了一個難聽的外號:"吝嗇鬼",想來想去這是我的缺點。

          --害羞、膽小:

          (a)別人說我是"大姑娘",害羞,見不得大世面,只能干些看攤的工作。(該人適合做文秘、打字員、保管員等工作)

          (b)我這個人生來膽子小,別說違法的事,就連上班也不敢遲到,怕人家議論。

          (c)許多事未經請示,我是絕對不敢干的。膽小怕事嘛。(膽小,未必是弱點。有些工作交給膽大的人去干,領導還真不放心呢。)

          --不顧家:

          (a)我這個人家庭觀念太差,干起活來老是不顧家。

          (b)我老婆老說我:"你呀,腦子里只有公司,沒有公館(指住處)。""你干脆住在公司算了。"所以,我不是一個好丈夫。

          (c)我不是一個事業、家庭兩全的人物。腦子里只有事業,哪還有家庭?大家都像我這樣可就麻煩了。

          5在談及個人的優缺點時,最好以一種自我反省的語氣說才能給人以良好印象。

          四、你善于與什么人相處?

          主試人是出于某些職位、行業的特殊需要才提出類似問題的。通過提問,了解該人能否與同事溝通營造良好的辦公環境,提高辦公效率,能否對外打開局面,廣為結識顧客群,以便更好地完成調查、促銷等任務。答問策略:

          1應聘者應以親切、輕松的語氣談論此類話題,給人以通達、開朗、熱情的印象。這印象本身就在說明你這個人很好相處。如果你的態度又拘謹、又嚴肅,倒證明你這個人不好相交。

          2談及領導問題時應格外慎重。對領導,不存在你喜歡不喜歡的問題,因為你不喜歡,人家仍然是領導。所以應當從領導與被領導的關系上談論為好。

          3老好人,好好先生--這種人跟誰都合得來。但某些行業(如警察、質檢員等)或某些職位,就不適宜這種人干。所以談話時,要想到這一點。

          4如果是剛畢業的大學生或是其他剛走出校門的學生,回答這種問題講些學校生活同學之間的交友事例就行了。

          五、你為什么經常想調動工作?

          主試人提出這類可能令你感到難堪、尷尬的問題,其意圖有二:一是深入了解你申請新工作的內在動因,是嫌過去的工資低?還是本人能力差、表現不好而讓人辭退?還是生性好動,老是這山望著那山高,哪兒都呆不住、呆不長?等等。而這些恰恰是所有用人單位最討厭的地方。二是考察該人的工作態度和應變能力。答問策略:

          1這類問題都是非常敏感的話題,答問時宜慎重思考、從容作答。

          2問及為什么"跳槽"時,不宜強調的理由有:

          (a)市場不景氣,是隨大溜被辭退的(主試人會想:為什么不把你留下來呢?);

          (b)跟原單位的領導不和;

          (c)想多掙錢;

          (d)想找離家近點的地方,等等。這類回答易使用人單位覺得你不是最好的職工,弄不好你會故伎重演,所以要小心對待。

          3問及為什么"跳槽"時,比較有意思的理由(真有的話):

          (a)能實現個人的抱負;

          (b)有更大的機會獲得提升和發展;

          (c)欣聞貴公司要擴展業務,想施展個人的才能以報效社會,等等。

          這里只是幾個常見的英文面試問題,以供參考,多見于外企

          What Are Your Weaknesses?

          This is the most dreaded question of all. Handle it by minimizing your weakness and emphasizing your strengths. Stay away from personal qualities and concentrate on professional traits: "I am always working on improving my communication skills to be a more effective presenter. I recently joined Toastmasters, which I find very helpful."

          Why Should We Hire You?

          Summarize your experiences: "With five years' experience working in the financial industry and my proven record of saving the company money, I could make a big difference in your company. I'm confident I would be a great addition to your team."

          Why Do You Want to Work Here?

          The interviewer is listening for an answer that indicates you've given this some thought and are not sending out resumes just because there is an opening. For example, "I've selected key companies whose mission statements are in line with my values, where I know I could be excited about what the company does, and this company is very high on my list of desirable choices."

          What Are Your Goals?

          Sometimes it's best to talk about short-term and intermediate goals rather than locking yourself into the distant future. For example, "My immediate goal is to get a job in a growth-oriented company. My long-term goal will depend on where the company goes. I hope to eventually grow into a position of responsibility."

          Why Did You Leave (Are You Leaving) Your Job?

          If you're unemployed, state your reason for leaving in a positive context: "I managed to survive two rounds of corporate downsizing, but the third round was a 20 percent reduction in the workforce, which included me."

          If you are employed, focus on what you want in your next job: "After two years, I made the decision to look for a company that is team-focused, where I can add my experience."

          When Were You Most Satisfied in Your Job?

          The interviewer wants to know what motivates you. If you can relate an example of a job or project when you were excited, the interviewer will get an idea of your preferences. "I was very satisfied in my last job, because I worked directly with the customers and their problems; that is an important part of the job for me."

          What Can You Do for Us That Other Candidates Can't?

          What makes you unique? This will take an assessment of your experiences, skills and traits. Summarize concisely: "I have a unique combination of strong technical skills, and the ability to build strong customer relationships. This allows me to use my knowledge and break down inf rmation to be more user-friendly."

          What Are Three Positive Things Your Last Boss Would Say About You?

          It's time to pull out your old perf rmance appraisals and boss's quotes. This is a great way to brag about yourself through someone else's words: "My boss has told me that I am the best designer he has ever had. He knows he can rely on me, and he likes my sense of humor."

          What Salary Are You Seeking?

          It is to your advantage if the employer tells you the range first. Prepare by knowing the going rate in your area, and your bottom line or walk-away point. One possible answer would be: "I am sure when the time comes, we can agree on a reasonable amount. In what range do you typically pay someone with my background?"

          If You Were an Animal, Which One Would You Want to Be?

          Interviewers use this type of psychological question to see if you can think quickly. If you answer "a bunny," you will make a soft, passive impression. If you answer "a lion," you will be seen as aggressive. What type of personality would it take to get the job done? What impression do you want to make?

          Case One

          Interviewer: Id like to know the salary you expect.

          我想了解一下,你期望的薪水是多少?

          Applicant: My salary requirement may be too high, and I hope my primary will not be lower than RMB 4,000. First, I think I am an excellent graduate. Though there will be a transition period, I will soon make profits for the company. Whats more, I think if a company is willing to pay a high salary for a post, it also indicates its importance. And only in this situation can I be convinced that I can get more learning opportunities and better prospects.

          我的薪酬要求可能偏高,我希望我的起薪不低于4000元。首先我認為自己是一名優秀的大學畢業生,雖然剛到企業需要一段過渡期,但很快我就能為企業創造價值。而且,我也認為,一個企業如果可以開出較高的薪水,可以證明企業對這個職位的重視度。在這樣的情況下,我才有信心能從企業獲得更多的學習機會和更好的發展機遇。

          Case Two

          Interviewer: Id like to know your salary expectations.

          我想了解一下,你期望的薪水是多少?

          Applicant: Since I am a recent graduate , there will be a transition period after I enter the company. So at the beginning, the profits I make for the company will be limited and I dont have specific requirements. But man has to survive. So I hope the salary will be enough to help me to be economically independent from my parents.

          因為我是一個剛畢業的大學生,進入企業將有一段時間的適應期,一開始為企業創造的價值有限,所以我對薪金沒有特定的要求。但人總是要生存的,所以,我希望我的薪金能夠讓我獨立,在經濟上不再依賴父母。

          面試:如何回答工作期望問題工作期望是面試中一個必問問題之一。通常面試官都會問你想從工作中的到什么,或是你三到五年內的計劃。那么,該如何回答這樣的問題呢?下面兩個案例會給你一點啟示。

          Case One

          Interviewer: What do you want most from your work?

          你最希望從工作中得到什么?

          Applicant: I hope to get a kind of learning, to get skills from my work. Though I have studied in school for nearly 16 years, I have only learned knowledge. In the university, I got no chance to see real life and didn get working skills. So I want to learn some working skills and become a professional in an industry.

          我最希望得到的是一種學習,能讓我學到工作的技能。雖然我已經在學校學習了快16年,但只是學習到了知識,在學校里,沒有機會接觸到真正的社會,沒有掌握一項工作技能,所以我最希望獲得一項工作的技能,能夠成為某一個行業領域的專業人士。

          Interviewer: Why did you choose us?

          你為什么選擇到我們公司來應聘?

          Applicant: As the saying goes, "well begun is half done". Your company is a famous one in the industry and boasts a high reputation. I hope to choose your company as the beginning of my career. I can not only learn new things, but set a solid foundation for my future career as well.

          俗話說"良好的開端是成功的一半"。貴公司是行業內的知名公司,享有很高的聲譽。我希望選擇貴公司作為事業的開端,不僅可以學到新東西,而且為我將來的發展打下良好的基礎。

          Case Two

          Interviewer: What do you hope this job will give you?

          你最希望這份工作給予你什么?

          Applicant: I hope this job will give me a chance to take responsibility. In more than ten years of study as a student, I have never taken any responsibility in any real sense or earned money for a company. I think people can only become mature by taking on responsibility. I hope this work will give me the chance to develop fully.

          我希望這份工作可以給我一個承擔職責的機會。在過去十幾年的學習生涯中,作為一名學生,我從來沒有在真正意義上承擔過責任,為一個企業盈利。我認為,人是通過承擔一定的責任才能成長、成熟的,我希望這份工作能夠給予我發展的機會。

          以上例子從學習和承擔職責的角度出發,都十分注重能力的培養,這會讓面試官覺得求職者不是一個功利心很強的人,給面試官留下好印象。

          面試:如何應對角色扮演的問題

          角色扮演是各大外企招聘時經常采用的方式之一;卮疬@類問題的要點是應聘者一定要設身處地、把自己當作角色中的人物。另外,基于任何角色提出的問題根本的目的是要考察應聘者對公司的態度,所以在角色扮演時,要把自己想象成該角色,也要站在全公司的角度來考慮問題,所謂大處著眼、小處著手,方能立于不敗之地。

          Case One

          Interviewer: You are a director of our company and you are in charge of a project. There are six people in the project team. Due to different opinions, the team is split into two parts at a meeting and they are debating ferociously. At this time, as a leader, what will you do to coordinate the two parts? If the two parts disagree, what will you do then?

          如果你已經成為我公司的一名主管,由你負責管理一個項目。在該項目的團隊中一共有六個人。在一次會議上,由于觀點不同,團隊分成兩派,,進行了激烈的爭論,這時,你作為領導者該如何協調?如果兩方不能達成共識,你又會怎么辦?

          Applicant: First, I will listen to both sides carefully, and make my own judgment. If I prefer one side, I will give facts and data to persuade the other side. If my opinion is between the two sides, I will also give facts and data to prove my opinion right. It is better that the two sides will agree on it. If not, I will stick to my opinion and allow the colleagues who keep reserved opinions to give more data and communicate with me. In short, my principle is that everything should be based on data and facts. Every colleague has the right to express his opinion. I will try my best to make all people agree on one thing. If I fail, I will make my decision, as a leader.

          首先我會仔細聆聽雙方的觀點和理由,并作出我的判斷。如果我傾向于其中一方的觀點,我會拿出數據和事實來說服另一方;如果我的觀點是介于兩者之間,我同樣會基于數據和事實來證明我的立場。如果最后大家能夠達成共識自然最好。如果不能,我會堅持我的觀點,但允許持保留意見的同事拿出更多的數據來和我溝通?傊,我的原則是,用數據和事實說話,每一位同事都有權表達他的觀點,我會盡量讓大家達成共識。如果不行,那作為領導者,我會做出一個決定。

          到外企應聘如何準備英文RESUME

          一份出色的Resume,是向外企求職的關鍵之一。不了解有關的常識和程式,不花費相當的心思來展示,以有純正嫻熟的英文功底,決不能獲得單位的青睞。在一大堆錯誤百出、英文表達能力低劣或平庸,毫無針對性和創造性的Resume中,你的那份若能讓人眼睛一亮,成功的機會必將大大增加,以下試著結合一個具體的例子給出說明和評述。

          Balance Sheet:

          基本方法選取適當的工作后,必須看清招聘廣告上所列出的每項要求,再將自己的學歷、能力與興趣逐一與之比較,作一張balance sheet.

          例如,一則關于marketing management trainee和job requirement是這樣寫的:

          We are looking for a competent person to fill the captioned position:

          University graduate majors in Marketing Management. Prepared to develop career in the commercial field

          -outgoing personality

          -Able to communicate with different levels

          -Good knowledge in PC operations -Proficiency in written and spoken English/Mandarin

          則你相應地考慮自己的qualification的選擇和表述,如你可寫(與上列各項對應):

          -University graduate with major in Marketing

          -Having actively participated in Business club‘s activities and learned accounting and management

          -Good in communication with people and like a lot of out door activities know how to tackle with people from all walks of life

          -Skillful in operating Words,Excel,Lotus1-2-3,etc

          -Fluent in English and studied advanced level of Mandarin

          這個方法的好處是可讓求職者清楚了解該職位是否適合自己,而本身資料又是否切合要求,而且,明白了各項要求后,就可依據每一點在履歷表上重點提出自己在該方面的強項。突出賣點(selling point),將之放在最吸引別人的地方,使招聘者一眼可見,有利于present自己。

          英文簡歷不完全攻略

          經?吹接腥税l翻譯簡歷的貼子。其實我個人認為簡歷的翻譯并沒有定式,可自由發揮。但是有一個原則關系到別人看了你的英文簡歷后對你的英文水平的第一印象,那就是簡歷中地用詞,句子,表達方式等一定要地道。也就是說不能帶有太多的所謂中式英語,讓別人一看就覺得很不爽。

          最近我有幸得到一些老外(包括非英語國家)的簡歷,看了以后頗有收獲,拿來共享心得。題目雖然是《完全攻略》,但時間倉促,難免有理解錯誤,或者不完整的地方還希望大家指正,補充?偟膩碚f,看完這些英文簡歷給我的感覺是:與其把中文簡歷翻譯成英文,還不如用英文再寫一個簡歷。這樣完全按照英文的思維方式和習慣作為出發點寫出的簡歷才會更地道。

          一、簡歷的結構

          首先,整個簡歷要分成若干部分:基本情況、自我介紹、教育經歷、工作經歷等等。這些部分如何分完全憑自己掌握。但是有些不內容是必不可少的。下面就列出我在這些簡歷上看到的欄目:

          我注意到大部分簡歷的最上方(標題的位置)都是求職者的姓名和聯系方式。也有某些簡歷用名字作為標題,然后下面的位置寫上了自己的求職意向或者聯系方式。而有些則是把聯系方式做成頁眉的效果。和這種方式能讓閱讀者對此人的姓名聯系方式和求職意向一目了然,可以提高效率,并且對求職者有比較深刻的印象。由此可見她們的共同點是:大多以姓名作為大標題,然后再顯眼的地方注明聯系方式和求職意向。

          接下來算是簡歷的正文。所有的簡歷都把教育經歷放在首位?磥斫逃尘斑是對方關注的首要問題。教育背景是按照時間倒序排列的,最近的放在最上面。有的是時間寫在前面,緊跟學校、專業作為條目的標題,或者把學校、專業放前面,后面跟時間。標題下面是具體的介紹。

          然后是工作經歷,格式和教育背景基本一致。某些簡歷在教育背景和工作經歷之間還加上了學過的和專業相關的課程,培訓班等。而在工經理后面還可以加上參加過的志愿者工作等。

          以上是簡歷中的重頭戲。接下來的內容大多是自己掌握的技能,語言能力和計算機能力。有時還有個人愛好等更全面介紹自己的內容。

          二、簡歷的用詞翻譯

          下面列出一些中英文對照(有的地方可以用多個英文單詞表示,用 | 隔開,這里列出的只是簡歷中出現的,也許并不僅限于這些):

          求職意向 ------- Objective

          Objective這個詞在電腦游戲中出現的頻率很高。一般是作為每關之前的任務介紹。直譯就是目標、目的。如果有Objective,一般放在正文的第一欄。

          教育背景 --------Education | Education and Qualifications

          都用這個,background就不要加上了,有點中式英語的嫌疑。如果包含了一些認證培訓之類的,可以寫成 Education and Qualifications.

          個人介紹、自我評價 -------- PERSONALITY HIGHLIGHTS | SYNOPSIS

          SYNOPSIS這個詞比較籠統,內容可以自由些,包括個人性格,目前狀況等。

          PERSONALITY HIGHLIGHTS 偏重于介紹自己的優勢、優點等。

          工作經歷 ---------- Experience | Work(ing) Experience | JOB EXPERIENCE | EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

          這些都是大同小異。也有個人用 EMPLOYMENT HIGHLIGHTS。

          我注意到有個人在Work Experience 的位置用了 Research Experience, 再細看內容才發現此人的經歷都是研究性質的工作,包括在大學期間從事的一些研究。

          參加過的活動(包括校內) ------- ACTIVITIES

          ACTIVITIES最普遍,所有的活動都包括了,比較好用。

          Campus Involvement & Activities 這里加上compus 那就僅限于在學校的。這里的 Involvement 我猜想指的是參加社團或者某個組織的這種長期的活動。而Activities則不限。

          榮譽、獎勵 -------- Honors | Awards

          有些干脆就用 Honors & Awards

          剩下的一些

          技能 ---- Skills | Additional Skills

          愛好 ----- HOBBIES

          計算機技能 ------ Computer Skills 也可以作為Skills的一部分。

          志愿者經歷 ----- VOLUNTEERING

          接下來介紹一下具體內容的翻譯。

          流利使用某種語言: Fluent in XXX

          普通話: Mandarin Chinese

          熟悉......:Familiar with....

          精通.... :proficient with | Advanced Skills in.... | Advanced Software User: (列出精通使用的軟件名稱)

          個人、人: individual (注意不要用person什么的)

          關于語言能力的: Daily Spoken (經常使用的), Training Obtained(受過培訓的---我想不僅限于語言能力)

          三、總結

          這些簡歷給我的最大感受是,簡練。沒有廢話,有些地方甚至省略掉主語例如: Activities: President of College Democrats,中文簡歷中一般會說"曾擔任校學生會主席",而你要死板的翻譯成英文就很羅嗦:" Ive been the President of the Students Union of the college" ,不如就說 "President of the Students Union ",能簡單盡量簡單,至于是校學生會,還是系學生會不必在乎,再說真的在乎的話面試的時候有機會的。而且語言簡練不容易出錯,何樂而不為。

          在碰到一些不太好翻譯的詞匯時,不用著急,可以自己創造,只要能正確表達出中文詞匯的含義即可。畢竟兩種語言之間不是映射表的關系。

          我看到一份簡歷在Education后面還加上了,Double Majors 和 Higher Level Course Work, 這樣把突出的教育經歷或者工作經歷單獨列出來,容易引起關注,是個好方法。

          總之,要做到簡練,結構清楚,表達明確,不出現錯誤,就是一個合格的英文簡歷。

          英文求職信七步寫作法

          求職信分為推薦信和自薦信兩種,它是書面表達的重要體裁之一,也是高考書面表達的熱點內容。寫求職信可按下列七個步驟進行。下面舉例說明:

          假設你叫李平,你從報上得知某公司欲招聘一名英語翻譯,請你給該公司經理寫一份求職信,你的個人資料如下:

          1.簡況:姓名,李平;年齡,30歲;身高,1.80米;健康狀況,良好;業余愛好,游泳、唱歌、跳舞。

          2.簡歷:1994年北京大學畢業后分配到南通中學工作,1996年調至蘇州中學工作至今。

          3.工作:工作認真負責,與人相處融洽。

          4.特長:精通英語,尤其口語,已將多本中文書籍譯成英語,懂一些日語、能用日語與外賓對話。

          聯系電話:3654731

          聯系地址:蘇州市人民路一號

          第一步:介紹消息來源

          介紹消息來源實際上是求職信的開篇交待句,它可使求職信顯得自然、順暢;而不介紹消息來源,會使收信人感到意外、突然,文章也缺乏過渡、照應,本文消息來源可作如下介紹:

          Dear manager,

          I learned from the newspaper that your company wanted to hire an English translator.

          第二步:表明求職心愿

          介紹完消息來源后,應向收信人表明自己的求職心愿,即寫信的目的,本文求職心愿可作如下介紹:

          Im interested in this job very much. Id like to get this job.

          第三步:介紹個人簡歷

          某單位需要新人,求職人也有求職心愿,但這并不意味著這項工作非你莫屬。如果你沒有干好這項工作的經歷、實力,也是難以適應的。因此,介紹個人簡歷是必不可少的。本文個人簡歷可介紹如下:

          Now Id like to introduce myself to you. My name is Li Ping. Im 30 years old. Im 180 cm tall. Im healthy. I like swimming, singing and dancing in my spare time. I graduated from Beijing University in 1994.Then,I went to work in Nantong Middle School.In 1996,I began to work in Suzhou Middle School and I have worked there until now.

          第四步:擺出求職優勢

          僅有一定的工作經歷而沒有自身的優勢和特長,也很難求得稱心如意的工作。因此,求職時應表明自己除了具有一定的工作經歷之外,還具有一定的優勢和特長,這樣才能穩操勝券。本文可通過如下方法擺出自己的優勢:

          I work hard and I can get along well with others. Im good at English and especially my spoken English is very good. Ive translated many Chinese books into English. I can understand Japanese and I can talk to foreigners in Japanese freely.

          第五步:提出獲職打算

          豐富的工作經驗,一定的優勢和特長,只能代表過去和現在的情況,如果獲職后自以為心愿已了,從此高枕無憂,馬虎從事,那也是得不到用人單位認可的。顯然表明獲職后努力工作的決心是感動用人單位的領導從而順利謀得此項工作的重要一環。本文獲職打算可作如下介紹:

          If you agree with me, Ill work hard and try to be a good translator.

          第六步:請求答復聯系

          如果單位領導同意了你的求職要求,你必然要請他和你聯系,以便你及時做好準備,到用人單位應聘或報到。為準確起見,請求答復聯系時你還應當提供你的通訊地址、郵政編碼、電話號碼、電子信箱等。本文答復聯系的內容可作如下介紹:

          If you agree with me, please write a letter to me or phone me. I live at No.1 Renmin Road,Suzhou city. My telephone number is 3654371.

          第七步:表明感激之情

          無論你的請求是否能夠得到滿意的答復,你給用人單位寫信就是給對方添了麻煩,因此你應向對方表明感激之情。本文可這樣來表明感激之情:

          Thank you very much.

          上述七步內容聯成一個整體,再加上下面的信尾,就成為一封完整的求職信。

          Yours Truly
