第一、我們應制定最關鍵的第一步，確定志向。
志向是事業成功的基本前提，沒有志向，事業的成功也就無從談起，我選擇的是職業學校，因而我在就學時就已經確定了我的專業——機電技術應用專業，這個專業是機械與電子的結合體，在現今的企業中這個專業是最易被采用的，我想通過這幾年的學習進入單位工作后成為一名熟練的技師，繼而成為一名機電工程師。
第二、了解自身條件與對社會環境的適應性
首先，我們應該正確認識自己，了解自己，做出恰當的自我評估。
我是個興趣廣泛的男生，愛好學習，喜歡讀書，熱愛體育。我擅長擺弄家中不用的物件，例如電話、鬧鐘等等。我的性格開朗，我喜歡大聲朗讀、喜歡科幻小說，喜歡呼朋喚友，總是覺得“三個臭皮匠抵得上一個諸葛亮”，奉行“智者千慮，必有一失”.但同時又有些自我感覺良好，易以自我為中心。
在班上我擔任著學習委員的職務，雖然我盡力做著的是老師分配的任務，但有時還是會和同學們發生摩擦，但我想這并不會影響我和同學們的關系，我不太會和老師親近，其實我很尊敬他們，但我總是不善表達。
其次，適時評價外界環境因素對自己職業生涯發展的影響。
隨著社會不斷發展，科技不斷進步，各行各業的自動化程度越來越高，電腦控制的普及程度越來越廣，我所在的機電技術應用專業的適應性也就越來越強，無論是本地企業，還是外地企業對于機電技術應用專業的學生都是供不應求的。
因此，根據現學專業加上吃苦精神，畢業后選擇一所好的企業應該是不太困難的。據日本科學家研究發現，人一生工作所需的知識，90%是工作后學的。我想，經過我今后的`努力我可以實現更大的理想，收獲更多的知識，面對更多的挑戰，贏得更多機遇。
第三、確定職業選擇的正確性
首先是性格與職業的匹配：
我是個眼到手到之人，在動腦的同時我十分喜歡動手，機電專業除了要有較強的機械與電子的專業基礎知識外，還應對動手能力有較高的要求，我想膽大心細是對這個專業最好的性格要求。
其次是興趣與職業的匹配：
古人云“干一行，愛一行”，但我卻認為應該是“愛一行，做一行”。因為你喜歡，你才會用心去做，我喜歡機械設計的巧妙精確，也喜歡電子線路的構思縝密。
最后是特長與孩子業的匹配：
當然我的特長有很多，有些特長只能作為一種愛好，但有些特長卻可能成為一種職業。我擅于拆裝家用電器和修理自行車這一特長定位成為我的職業，我想這是我選擇這一專業的前提。
鑒于我的興趣和愛好，我更加明確地肯定了我的志向——一名優秀的高級技術師。
第四、職業生涯路線的選擇和職業目標的設定
職業生涯路線的選擇
從小每個人都有遠大的理想，有些人想當科學家，有些人想當飛行員，有些人想當偉人、名人。我想我肯定也曾經有過這樣偉大的抱負，但隨著時間的推移，這樣的理想慢慢淡化了，變成了更有實際意義的目標。
我既然選擇了我的專業，那么我的職業也就隨之縮小了范圍，我想成為一名機電工程師是我目前 最大的目標，而成為機電工程師的前提是先學好自己的專業，再找一份可以提高自己實踐操作能力的工作，那我才有希望成為一名合格的機電專業的技術人才。
設定職業生涯目標
正確適當的目標是職業生涯規劃的核心，一個人事業的成敗，很大程度上取決于合適的目標。
我想這里所說的目標應該包含兩種，一種是近期目標，另一種是遠期目標。
我所設定的近期目標是我在學生生涯結束時所應達到的狀態。我是一名07級在校生離畢業還有三年的時間，社會變化很快，我應在這三年的時間中不停地調整自己，修訂目標，以期能很好地適應環境的變化。我在學完自己本專業的課程之外還應與社會環境接軌，掌握好計算機與外語等相關技能，爭取在在畢業時獲得計算機等級證書、技能等級證書和外語合格證書。此外，還應積極參加校內外文化活動，增強適應能力，培養吃苦精神，學會與人相處。在實習期間，還應樹立自己的良好形象，培養正確的職業道德觀，這對我們年輕人將來找一個合適的工作單位是至關重要的。
