新SAT數學不僅在知識點考查方面更加貼近實際生活應用，包括題目和題型也變得更加接地氣。最明顯的表現是題目長度大大增加，單詞難度加大，長句出現頻率增加，這對學生的閱讀能力和速度提出了更高的要求。

與美國學生相比，以往中國學生贏在數學知識和計算能力，但中國學生在專業英語詞匯量、與實際生活聯系、邏輯思維、批判性思維閱讀上與美國學生存在很大差距。
應對策略
所以，在單詞方面，學生首先要對數學專業詞匯以及常見表達熟練掌握，同時在平常也需要更多積累其他STEM相關領域詞匯和背景知識。針對題目中的長句，則需要快速理解題意辨識出考查的知識點，然后分析句子結構，迅速剝離出與解題相關的數據信息。包括題目最后的問題也會經常出現在長句中，如果句子沒有讀懂，那么很有可能會減緩做題速度甚至會影響解題切入點。
