I am writing this letter of reference in strong support to BEI Jie’s application for a job in your company.
Bei Jie worked as an interne in the Export Department of X X X Company from to 2003. I was Manager of the Export Department and was her supervisor. His duties included replying enquiries from customers abroad in English by phone, by fax or by e-mail, making offers and counter-offers, issuing letters of acceptance, draft export contracts or sales confirmation, preparing export documents with computers with access to the Internet. All our documents had be prepared in English and in Chinese. According to my personal contact with her, she was an avid and quick learner and understood what I meant quickly. She was so adaptable that she was very well acquainted with the operation and the management of my company in about a week. When she prepared the export documents, she was very careful and attached importance to details. Very quickly she learned how to conclude a transaction and fulfill our contract by herself. All our colleagues liked her so much that I recommended her to our General Manager that we offer her a regular position after her graduation from Hangzhou University in 2004, but she went to Canada for further education in the fall of 2003.
