　　蛋象征新生命。堅硬的蛋殼無法限制里面正在孕育的新生命。耶穌基督為了我們的罪而釘死在十字架上，葬在墳墓里，但墳墓無法關住他。他第三天復活了，使凡相信他的人，因此而得到新的生命。蛋，便成為復活節常用的象征物之一。蛋乃意味著春天的到來及新生命的誕生，并象征著耶穌從死里復活走出石墓。
